EXCLUSIVE: Caitlin Stasey, Lindsey Morgan and Zoe Levin are set to co-star in Edward Burns coming-of-age film Summertime, which will begin shooting next month in New York.
The pic, set in summer 1983 on the south shore of Long Island, follows a group of working-class young people as they work their summer jobs, fall in and out of love and wrestle with what the future holds when the summer ends and the real world beckons.
Burns and Aaron Lubin are producing the project with Achates Film Partners on board to exec produce.
Stasey will co-star as Suzy, the wild child who skipped town the day after high school graduation but now is back after her marriage hit the skids. Stasey, who starred in Fox’s just-canceled comedy APB and Hulu’s Please Like Me, is repped by Authentic Talent & Literary Management and Gersh.
Reign alum Caitlin Stasey is set to co-star opposite Natalie Martinez in Fox’s drama pilot A.P.B., from writer David Slack and Len Wiseman.
Stasey will play Ada Hamilton, the striking, fiercely intelligent, cynical, and tough head of the team of tech troubleshooters brought in by the billionaire taking over the police precinct. She has an iconoclastic, edgy personal style.
Slack executive produces with Wiseman, who is directing. Also executive producing the project are David Bernardi, Dennis Kim, Todd Hoffman and Robert Friedman.
In addition to her role as Lady Kanna on the CW’s Reign, Australian actress Stasey also recently co-starred on the Pivot series Please Like Me. She is repped by Gersh and Authentic.
